Did Universal International ever produce a move in the 50’s called The Race To Space?
I have a vintage movie poster from the 1950’s and I can tell the poster is really old, yet I can not find any information on this movie production company making this movie.
“The Race for Space” is a 1959 documentary film directed by David Wolper and produced by Wolper Productions. See first source under Top five credits.
It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
See third source for the short history of “Universal-International.”

Ginsu 04817 International Traditions 14-Piece Knife Set with Block, Natural $27.88 Many associate Ginsu knives with the product’s kitschy infomercial from the â70s that begins with a karate kick to a watermelon and proceeds with a demo of these knives cutting through just about anything in the house. Like the original product, Ginsu’s International Traditions is designed for the home cook who is not attuned to the maintenance required of a more high-end knife. H… |

Harvey [VHS] $1.75 It’s always a small surprise to revisit this movie and realize what a subtly dark performance James Stewart gives as an alcoholic who claims he keeps company with a six-foot-tall, invisible rabbit. As Elwood P. Dowd, the actor emits a faint whiff of decay and spirits, yet Stewart also embraces Dowd’s romanticism and grace with splendid ease. Based on a hit play and directed by Henry Koster, the fi… |

Jurassic Park [VHS] $1.95 Steven Spielberg’s 1993 mega-hit rivals Jaws as the most intense and frightening film he’d ever made prior to Schindler’s List, but it was also among his weakest stories. Based on Michael Crichton’s novel about an island amusement park populated by cloned dinosaurs, the film works best as a thrill ride with none of the interesting human dynamics of Spielberg’s Jaws. That lapse proves unfortunate, … |
